About myself

I build web systems end to end, and I've taught others how to do it.

I'm Nizar Ilahi, a senior full-stack engineer based in the Hannover region of Germany. For more than 15 years I've built web applications from the database layer up: data models and APIs in Java/Spring Boot or Node.js/NestJS, React frontends in TypeScript, and the pipelines that ship them to Kubernetes.

Most recently I designed a cloud-native microservices platform for Octobank, a licensed digital bank in Uzbekistan (Kafka, Resilience4j, LGTM observability on GKE), and a React 19 + NestJS booking platform for AllezGoo that raised conversion by 20 %. Before that, at NACHD-IT, I secured APIs serving 50,000+ users and cut frontend load times by 30 %.

For over a decade I also taught computer science at the University of Kairouan and mentored 100+ students. It shows in how I work: clean architecture, tests that document intent, code reviews that teach, and AI tools like Claude Code and Cursor used with judgment. I hold an unrestricted German work permit and am available immediately.
